Thump-thump, Thump-thump...

I haven't made a 'formal' announcement on here yet but now that we have a confirmed heartbeat I'll let ya'll know that we are expecting our 3rd child sometime in the fall! Our "due date" is October 28th but I'm not anticipating an appearance until early November.
All seems to be well and we just finally heard the little heartbeat on Wednesday. I never tire of that sound! I had a pretty rough time during my first trimester (definitely the worst of my pregnancies) and am hoping to turn a definitive corner in the next few weeks. I'm still pretty tired but the nausea comes and goes infrequently which is such a relief! I was nauseous pretty much 24/7 since week 7 (I'm now 13 weeks) so it feels kind of like I've been pregnant for a long time...even though I still have 6 months to go!
Raegan is absolutely ecstatic about the new baby but unfortunately is very vocal about her desire for a brother. We've tried to explain that God might (and most likely) have a different plan but she furrows her eyebrows and says "No! Everyone has a brother and I want one too!" We laugh because it does seem like we have had a rash of boy babies born in the last couple months to different friends so we can see how it seems like "everyone" has a baby brother. I'm quite sure that once this little bugger comes out she will love it no matter the sex but right now her heart is set. In the meantime, she is extremely cute about wanting to rub my belly and "see" the baby and "talk" to it whenever I'm laying down which shows her maternal instincts are following closely to her mommy's. =)
Syd, of course is pretty clueless but will say she is having a "Baby Tister" if you ask her. I guess we've got a 50/50 chance of making someone happy at least!

**Side note: To those of you that have been waiting I've tried twice now to download pictures from our Easter weekend and Blogger.com is giving me a headache. They will come eventually but patience is required for now...

April/Birthday/Easter Highlights

In April we had a wonderful whirlwind weekend of PA family in town to celebrate Easter and the girls' birthdays. These photos aren't necessarily in order but at least give a small glimpse of all the fun we packed into a very short, but sweet, weekend!


It was a bit chilly but that didn't stop the egg hunters outside searching for their baskets & plastic candy-filled eggs!

Happy Birthday to the two best girls in my life! We had a whirlwind weekend of fun over here and I'm still trying to catch my breath~ Suffice it to say that I love our family and am so grateful and blessed to have people in my life who love my girls so much!! Lots of pictures and info to come in the next few days but for now I have an hour to get things back in order before my oldest birthday princess wakes up~

Big News, Belated Post!

It's already been a week and I haven't made a 'formal' CONGRATS on here to my dear friend Brenda (and Joel and Emma) on the birth of their new son/brother, Samuel Aaron on April 1st.

He is absolutely precious and perfect and neither I, nor my girls, can get enough of him. His birth also just solidifies for Raegan that she definitely wants a brother next no matter how much I try to explain that God may have other plans...I guess we'll all see come October 28th! =)

In the meantime, we'll just love on this new little man in our lives and look forward to the years ahead of him joining the ranks of pink toe-painting and princess dress-up parties~
